Staff 

Staff at Limestone Coast Career Services come from a wide range of backgrounds and bring a diverse set of skills to the service. They have a sound understanding of business, education, training, employment and services in the region with strong networks to support individuals.

Staff take part in ongoing professional development and learning, with membership of a professional organisation, attendance at national conferences, accredited training, mandated notification and police checks all part of the skill development expectation.

All staff are committed to providing a confidential, quality service that will support individuals to develop the skills to confidently take control of their career.

 

  

 

Charmaine Lawrie - Career Practitioner

Charmaine has a background in case and account management within the labour hire and job services fields. Extensive experience in the forestry industry with a strong understanding of workplace safety, the local labour and hidden job markets. Particular strengths in Transport, Logistics and Warehousing, Production, Civil Construction, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business and Administration, Horticulture, Mining and Retail.

Charmaine is committed to supporting individuals to develop skills to confidently take control of their career goals. Providing them with the tools to plan and make decisions about training and employment, including assistance with resumes, cover letters and applications.

Charmaine holds Certificate IV in Career Development, Certificate IV in Employment Services, Certificate IV in Frontline Management, Certificate IV in Training, Assessment and Education (TAE) and is currently studying Certificate IV in Youth Work.

 

 

Anne Mulraney - Career Practitioner

Anne has 20 years experience in the forest industry as an instructor specialising in the development and delivery of Nationally Accredited Training Programs and has extensive experience in the Vocational Education and Training environment.

Anne also has experience in the Education sector, supporting students to reach their full potential through coordinating a mentoring program. Anne is a qualified language, literacy and numeracy practitioner and has expertise in the delivery of adult LLN programs.

Her recent experience as Apprenticeship Traineeship Advisor makes her a great addition to the CDC team

Anne's qualifications include: Certificate IV in Career Development, Certificate IV in Training, Assessment and Education (TAE) and Certificate IV in Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN)..

 

Maree Beale - Project Support

Maree started at the Career Development Centre in 2006 and has over 20 years experience in office administration in many industries including: retail, logistics, fish and crustacea, cheese production, accommodation and hospitality. Roles have varied from management, ordering/expediting goods, payroll, event management, financial records and data management.

Her qualifications include: Certificate IV in Career Development and Certificate IV in Employment Services, Certificate III and IV in Business, Certificate III in Financial Services, and modules from Certificate IV in IT (4HTML and Website Management).

 

Helen Strickland - Founder and mentor

Helen initiated the Career Development Centre in 2006, and has supported the establishment of other centres across South Australia. She is a member of the National Executive of the Career Development Association of Australia.

Helen has management and leadership experience in educational, training, career development, employment and community organisations, with demonstrated ability to initiate and manage change. Helen holds Degrees as a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education and has postgraduate research experience in the areas of enterprise, young people, industry and community development, leading to strong skills in research and analysis. She is an Adjunct Lecturer at Edith Cowen University in recognition of her services to career development, and has received national awards for excellence in community based and innovative career development.
